 . Keep the flame moving, holding the flame on the diamond will damage it quicker
2 . Coating in borax first helps to keep the temperature down briefly.
Above all you have﻿ to be very quick to solder claws on diamond rings without removing the stones first. Practice with cubic zirconia, if you can solder on czs you should be able to solder on diamonds after lots of practice.</description>

Its been 2 months since I had it done, there appears to be feathered stress marks at the corner of one of the claws.  Could this be due to too much heat that was applied.  I am in the works of dealing with my insurance company.  Thanks.  The jeweler is saying he is not responsible because i walked out﻿ of his store with no marks on my diamond.</description>
